Our approach follows an innovative trust building methodology developed through 15 years of research in Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO, and then Voconiq.

It is based on extensive research into the mechanics of how to build an organisations' social license to operate, honed in more than a dozen countries with hundreds of thousands of community respondents.

We identify what factors are most important to your organisation’s ability to achieve and maintain a social license to operate.

We do this by working with the community to measure a range of elements - to find out what specifically can build their trust and acceptance of your operations.

Community Rewards Program

Each completed survey results in a donation from Voconiq to a local not-for-profit organisation, enhancing community outcomes and encouraging participation.

Local Voices brings the voices of community inside your organisation to:

  Identify the key drivers of relationship strengths and risks, providing a science-based ‘recipe’ for improving social licence

  Provide baseline data on these material drivers of social licence and how they change over time

  Inform action on the ground and inform strategic decision making

Relationships between organisations and the communities they work alongside are dynamic. The Local Voices program is designed to track the key issues in your relationships over time after establishing a comprehensive baseline of community sentiment.

Local Voices has two main components:

 An ‘Anchor’ Survey

  • conducted at the beginning of a cycle of activity (every 2 or 3 years to re-establish SLO drivers)
  • designed to provide detailed, baseline community sentiment data at the beginning of deployment
  • approximately 15-20 minutes length, and

Ongoing ‘Pulse’ surveys

  • short, regular check ins on key issues (5-7 mins in length)
  • designed to track material issues impacting SLO identified in the Anchor survey and social performance
  • frequency depends on how dynamic the relationship between community and company is
  • explore focal topics using our battery of validated survey blocks
